My youngest son, 3 years old, is THE most stubborn child on the face of the earth. Every single night, he refuses to stay in his room. He always sneaks out of his room and lays on the floor in the hall, just out of sight. We tried all the things doctors and "experts" tell you to do. We've walked him back to his room I don't know how many times. We've tried blocking the doorway with a child safety gate, we've put a child safety door handle on. None work. He has found a way around each and every one.
Most nights we tell him in no uncertain terms to "Get to bed right now! And stay in there!" It actually works on some nights. Other times we ignore him. We now have enough pictures of him sleeping in the hallway that we can make a collage. And we only take a picture if the pose is new. We've got pictures with his feet up on the wall, pictures of him sleeping sitting up in the corner of his room with stuffed animals all around him (like ET), pictures with his arms up, down, you name it.
So, even the most stubborn mule of a child can be funny even when you're about to pull your hair out.
